The project was one of 8 finalists shortlisted from an international open competition to design a sustainable 13km - 30,000 bed, beach front resort development. This proposal created five distinct communities with independent identities; the leisure town adjacent to the marina forming the lively leisure & entertainment centre, the walled town creating a peaceful up-market environment with exclusive spas, health & well-being, the civic centre, the eco town, a less formal collection of villas and apartments dispersed within the natural landscape, the sports & recreation town and the restaurant river resort, intentionally less accessible to ensure the local wildlife was left undisturbed. The project was delivered by BCIdesign’s directors in Burrows Cave International.
