Baneasa Shopping City is located in the north of Bucharest and was opened in April 2008. It contains over 200 retail units and is part of the 450,000sqm Baneasa Commercial Area which includes flagship stores such as Ikea, Carréfour, Mobexpert, Bricostore.
Baneasa Shopping City has become a destination and the Entertainment Centre aims to build on its success. The 13,500sqm extension will comprise of a 13-screen cinema as well as food and beverage leisure units. The cinema will deliver 2,600 seats, featuring two large cinema lobbies and café-bars. The interior design concept is modern, trendy and sophisticated to address the upmarket clientele of the centre. Special design features include a curved feature lit ceiling in the main cinema lobby, a café, a VIP screen and bar, digital projection systems for all screens and an Imax-style experience screen.
