The 5000sq m Alea Casino opened in 2008 in Leeds in the newly redeveloped and vibrant area of Clarence Docks - a mix of new built residential, retail, hotel and leisure. The 4 storey building comprises several chic bars, innovative dining in the 2 restaurants, state-of-the-art casino and a full entertainment floor with luxurious event spaces and VIP 50 seater cinema. The design answers the client’s brief to create a multi purpose leisure and entertainment facility, accessible to all which brings a touch of Las Vegas “glamour” to Leeds boasting glitz opulence and sparkling interiors. The project was realised in collaboartion with designer Peter Hodgson of Newcastle, England.
The project was originally delivered by BCIdesign’s directors in Burrows Cave International and BCIdesign continue to provide design support services for this project and London Clubs International’s estate portfolio generally.
